Dudu Lake, Mangroves, or Paradise Island
Weekends are always fun here on the laidback tropical Island of the Dominican Republic. On Saturday, we enjoy taking out groups and doing something a bit different! Each Saturday, we will choose which excursion package to explore! Both excursions will allow our guests to see and explore the countryside of the Dominican Republic as well as have an awesome diving experience! Not yet a diver? Join in the fun and bring a snorkel! Due to the distance and planning involved, we must have a minimum of four individual Divers to schedule the excursions.
DuDu Lake – This lake is just plain beautiful!! It is situated about a 2.5 hour drive through the countryside of the Dominican. Its CRYSTAL CLEAR freshwater hosts many species of eel, shrimp, and freshwater fish! There are also two cavern systems to explore for the advanced Diver! The main lake is 16meters deep. Light snacks and beverages are provided. There is a restaurant onsite.
Paradise Island and the Mangroves – It is called “Paradise Island” for a reason!!! This little gem is about a two hour ride through the countryside where we will disembark from the beautiful local town of “Punta Russia” for a 20min Boat Ride to Paradise! Surrounded by the Turquoise Blue water lies one of the most beautiful places the Dominican Republic has to offer! Its white sandy beach will feel great under feet as you get ready to explore some beautiful, colorful marine life! Once finished, on our way back, we will take a Boat Ride through the Mangroves or the national park of the Mentees! When we arrive back at Punta Russia you will be treated to an authentic “Home Style” local meal!
